Meet Chef Chris Vizzina

CV headshotWith an Italian heritage as strong as his passion for healthy, locally grown foods, it’s not surprising that Chef Chris Vizzina has risen so quickly to become the Corporate Executive Chef of Red Diamond.

Chef Vizzina, considered a rising star by many in the Birmingham culinary community, is the recipient of multiple award nominations, including four for the prestigious Silver Plate Award and one for the distinguished Fame Award.

While passionate about good food, Vizzina is also committed to a range of volunteer efforts that help forge the relationship between healthy eating and community progress. His involvement expands across a wide spectrum of community platforms, including volunteer work for advocacy organizations, serving on multiple boards such as director on the board of the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, and as an ambassador to The New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. Vizzina also dedicates time to serving as a Good Heat Chef for Alagasco Corporation, and as a volunteer at Jones Valley Teaching Farms, which named Vizzina a Champion of Health and Urban Food Hero.


With regular appearances on several local television networks, and frequent guest lectureships and cooking demonstrations, Chef Vizzina works tirelessly to educate present and future generations on the unmatched benefits of healthy cuisine inspired by local flavors.

His years of experience in the food industry have led him to culinary consulting, which he says allows him to take the dreams and vision of his clients and create energized yet educated solutions for their catering, management and restaurant needs.
